Kuwait: Kuwait City, Kuwait University

The 5th European-Asian (Eurasian) Meeting on Heterocyclic Chemistry will be hosted by the Chemistry Department, Kuwait University, Kuwait. The meeting is scheduled to take place on 1st to 6th March, 2008. The previous four meetings were held in Russia and Greece.

Kuwait is an ideal location for the Meeting: It is well situated between Europe and Asia, with first rate services and excellent facilities for work and recreation. The first week in March is expected to have fine weather (temperature ~ 25° C), and the desert at this time is usually in bloom.

Kuwait University was started in 1966, with Chemistry as one of its first departments. The Department now offers BSc (Accredited by Canadian Society for Chemistry), MSc and PhD degrees, and will commence a BSc degree in applied chemistry in 2007/2008.
